The LG LT500P is a cartridge that can be difficult to get hold of in the UK, and even companies than can source and supply them consistently, such as ourselves, frankly have a difficult time cutting the costs on the product due to the high cost prices and relatively short supply there is out there. As such it is one cartridge which has maitained a relatively high RRP price, pushing the £40 where most other cartridges have dropped slightly from this over the past two or three years.
However, our WF290 is a new like for like compatible, and should fit all LG and ATAG refrigerators which use the cartridge 5231JA2002A-S by LG or the KA211 filter sometimes used by ATAG. The cartridge features the same simple push up and twist bayonet type fitting, and with a high grade sintered block carbon insert, it offers excellent filtration performance and a significant reduction on the original price.
This cartridge removes chlorine, sediment, dissolved organics and some heavy metals.
Cartridge life is 6 months or 1200 litres, whichever comes first. All customers will receive a free, no obligation postal reminder around the time the cartridge is due for replacment (these will tie in roughly with your fridge renewal light).
