The new 2009 Maytag packaging, but the same cartridge - the UKF7003AXX is the standard Maytag cartridge designed to replace all 700x series filters which fit within the refrigerator compartment itself (i.e. you must open the fridge door to install the filter). The cartridge is a short stubby cartridge which fits a little like a light bulb with a push up and twist 'bayonet' styled mounting.
This cartridge is commonly used in Maytag fridges, but may also be seen in some Smeg, Amana and Admiral models due to the fridges all being made by the same manufacturing company (Maytag Group). The cartridge remove chlorine, sediment, dissolved organics, heavy metals and cysts.
